The special geometry of the DXT Big Dot night sights with its white or colored outline, along the self-illuminated green vial in the center, makes this sighting system unique from its competition.
Unlike conventional sights, the Big Dots are designed in such a way that the green ring in the center of the sight represents the point of impact at distances of up to 15 meters. At distances of 25 meters and beyond the top of the front sight represents the point of impact. Thereby, different distances can be covered quickly, effectively, and reliably.
The key feature about this sight: The shooter immediately detects the visually dominant front sight due to it’s geometry and guides it intuitively on target. The alignment of the rear sight and the front sight, which form an “i”, happens instinctively and the shooter’s focus is therefore automatically in the same focal plane of the front sight and target - an advantage that is particularly important in stressful situations. This is precisely why the sights from XS Sights are also ideal for hunters, as the use of handguns must be quick and accurate in dangerous situations. This is exactly where the sighting system concept from XS Sights proves itself.
DXT Big Dots were specially developed for lightning-fast target acquisition. The colors variants orange or yellow come into play under the new model name DXT2 Big Dot Sights.
With the DXT Standard sights, XS Sights also offers a solution for the competitive shooting sports and law enforcement market. The patented sight concept was originally developed for shooters and armed professionals who want to use the tried and tested Big Dot, but prefer a thinner front sight. Like the larger version, this version also features a self-illuminating rear and front sight, whereby the front sight is finer than the original Big Dot.
